And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
When Ruth spoke these words to her mother-in-law Naomi, she was showing her that she was committed to be by her side to the very end. As simple as those words were, they show that Ruth was determined to have a new beginning, in a new land, away from everything and everyone that she was accustomed to. Ruth was a Moabite, and when she made that commitment to Naomi, she was also making a commitment to Jehovah God. Sometimes we quickly forget God in our new seasons, whether they are seasons of joy or seasons of pain. However, it is important that we walk with God as Ruth had decided to do many years ago. Brothers and Sisters, let us continue to hold on to God, because even when our seasons change whether for our betterment or the bad, Jehovah God will always be constant and He will never leave us nor forsake us.
